This Privacy Policy is designed to transparently explain how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information in the course of delivering our Services. We are committed to processing your personal information in accordance with applicable laws, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, relevant data protection rules notified under it, and international privacy standards where applicable.

By accessing or using any part of the Vemigo Platform—such as browsing our website, downloading our app, creating an account, making a booking, providing feedback, or interacting with our support channels—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of this policy or do not wish to share your personal data as described herein, you should discontinue using the Services.

We encourage you to read this policy in full to understand:

2. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

When you interact with the Vemigo platform—whether through our website, mobile application, or support channels—you may voluntarily provide us with certain personal information. This information is collected to facilitate service delivery, improve user experience, comply with legal obligations, and maintain operational standards. The categories of information you may provide include:

Full Name, Contact Number, and Email Address:
Collected during account registration or while booking services. These details are used for identification, communication, verification, and sharing booking confirmations, receipts, and service updates.

Address and GPS Location for Service Delivery:
Required to enable location-specific services, such as assigning Service Partners to your doorstep, estimating arrival times, and ensuring accurate fulfillment of services or deliveries. With your consent, location data may also be captured through your device's GPS functionality while using the app.

Vehicle Details (Make, Model, Color, Registration Number):
This information allows our Service Partners to identify and understand your vehicle before beginning any service. It also helps us recommend appropriate service packages based on your vehicle type.

Feedback, Support Queries, Reviews, and Ratings:
We collect user-submitted comments, complaints, ratings, and suggestions to improve platform quality and ensure accountability among Service Partners, Sellers, and Delivery Partners. These may be displayed publicly with your first name unless anonymity is requested.

Documents for Identity or Service Verification (Where Required):
In certain cases, such as onboarding Service Partners, franchise signups, or high-value service bookings, we may request supporting documents like government-issued ID proof, vehicle ownership proof, or GST registration. This helps us verify legitimacy, prevent fraud, and ensure safety and compliance on the platform.

All personal data you voluntarily share with us is treated with the utmost confidentiality and used strictly for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

b) Automatically Collected Data

In addition to the information you provide directly, Vemigo also collects certain data automatically when you interact with our platform. This helps us improve performance, personalize user experience, and secure our systems. The categories of automatically collected data include:

Device Type, Browser, and Operating System:
We collect information about the device and browser you use to access the platform, such as device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen resolution, and browser type. This helps us optimize compatibility and app functionality across different devices.

IP Address, Time Zone, and Usage Data:
Your IP address and time zone are used to detect geographic location (at a city or region level), prevent fraudulent activities, and localize services (e.g., showing region-specific prices or availability). Usage data such as the time and duration of visits, page views, clicks, and navigation flow is captured for analytics purposes.

App Activity Logs and Service Preferences:
We track how you interact with features of the app—like services viewed, bookings made, buttons clicked, or settings changed. This behavioral data helps us understand customer preferences and improve the platform experience by making it more intuitive and relevant.

Cookies and Similar Technologies:
Our website uses cookies, beacons, pixels, and local storage to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and deliver a smooth user experience. These technologies also help us analyze site traffic, run targeted promotions, and measure performance. For more details, please refer to Section 8: Cookies and Tracking Technologies.

This automatically collected data is generally non-personally identifiable on its own, but when combined with other data you provide, it may become linked to your identity and treated as personal data under applicable laws.

c) Payment Information

While using the Vemigo platform to purchase services or products, you may be required to make payments via UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, or digital wallets. In doing so, certain payment-related data may be captured and processed to facilitate the transaction. However, Vemigo takes privacy and security seriously and adheres to the highest standards for handling such sensitive information.

We Do Not Store Sensitive Payment Information:
Vemigo does not store or retain any full card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, bank login credentials, or wallet authentication tokens on its servers. All payment-related data is entered directly by the user into a secure interface provided by the authorized payment gateway.

Third-Party Payment Gateways:
All financial transactions on the Vemigo platform are processed via reputable and PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard) compliant third-party payment gateways. These payment processors are responsible for encrypting and securing the transaction information and are bound by regulatory requirements to safeguard customer data.

Transaction Records:
While we do not store your payment credentials, we may retain metadata such as transaction IDs, payment method used (e.g., card, UPI, wallet), timestamp, payment status, and partial masked details (e.g., last four digits of the card) to help with confirmations, invoicing, refunds, support requests, and fraud prevention.

Security Assurance:
By using the platform, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of the respective payment gateway partner. Vemigo is not liable for any data breaches, unauthorized access, or failures on the part of third-party payment processors, although we strive to partner only with industry-certified providers.

While we do everything reasonably possible to secure your data, it's important to understand that no digital transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. As a user, you also play a role in keeping your information safe by using strong passwords, keeping your device secure, and logging out after each session.
